The Smart Way To Rest in Peace

Have you bought your life cover to achieve some piece of mind?

That means knowing that there will be some money there for your dependents when you die. Peace of mind is knowing that your other half will not have to pick up the tab for all that money you borrowed and forgot to repay before Dr Death came along.

You've got it covered. You die, get your nice funeral, your next of kin claim on your policy and after a short while, they receive a big cheque for the life cover from your sympathetic insurance company.

There's other stuff you buy from your insurer to give you that peace of mind while you are alive: Critical illness, Income Protection, Permanent Disability and Medical Insurance.

But did you know that these kindly insurers reject a significant portion of claims they receive?

In many cases, these insurance guys are absolutely right to turn down bogus and dodgy claims.

But sometimes you are right for suspecting that the insurer is just trying to wriggle out of paying a claim because of its size.

Protect your family from the rackets.

Our experience shows that insurers can get their decisions wrong and if they won't budge, the only way to get the decision reversed is by going to the Financial Ombudsman or the Court.

The Financial Ombudsman is fine for insurance disputes, but it has a limit to the amount it can award if you win. Consequently large insurance disputes have to end up in Court with a big payout at stake.

Smart Law is experienced in representing you and beneficiaries of policies in personal insurance disputes.
